Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Calabar South, Cross River State. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Overtime paid at a premium rate.
