Aluminium tig welder wanted in Powell County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Powell County, Montana. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
