Join our team: we are hiring a rigger in McPherson County, Kansas. Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
