Foundry operative wanted in Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Jefferson County, Oklahoma. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
