You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams On a typical shift you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting.
