Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift technician in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Day to day you will install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; run load and overload tests with test weights; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
