You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Your main tasks: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting 6+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
