Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
