Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Seneca County, New York. You will be based on an industrial construction site. On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
