Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Mitchell County, Georgia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE On a typical shift you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
