Gtaw welder wanted in Newry Mourne and Down

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Newry Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Rotating shifts.
