Bar bender and fixer • Owen County, Indiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Owen County, Indiana. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
