Bodyshop painter • Sitka City and Borough, Alaska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bodyshop painter in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will work in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun Requirements: • Keen attention to detail and a steady hand • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
