Safety officer • Iron County, Michigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Iron County, Michigan. The job is at an oil and gas facility. Day to day you will deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
