We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Newton County, Indiana. Day to day you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 3+ years on the tools preferred.
