Vacancy available: gas metal arc welder (England)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances The role involves: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
