Lifting rigger wanted in Cook County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Cook County, Illinois. You will be based at a container port. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness The role involves tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
