Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Garki, Jigawa State. On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Full-time, day shift.
