Dogger — City of Williamsburg

Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 5+ years on the tools preferred.
