Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in DeSoto County, Florida. The job is on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle.
