Offshore rigger • Umuahia North, Abia State

We are recruiting: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Umuahia North, Abia State. You will be based at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
