Rebar installer • City of Danville, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar installer in City of Danville, Virginia. You will work on a commercial tower construction site. On a typical shift you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 2+ years on the tools preferred.
