Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Van Wert County, Ohio. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Day-to-day duties: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls Rotating shifts.
