Sand plant operator — Davie County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Davie County, North Carolina. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $22 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
