Occupational health and safety officer — Red Lake County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Red Lake County, Minnesota. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Day-to-day duties: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
