Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Iowa County, Iowa. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
