Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in West Northamptonshire, England. The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. £1,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
