Bar bender and fixer wanted in Warren County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Warren County, Virginia. The job is at a precast concrete yard. You will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements 5+ years on the tools preferred.
