Ladle pourer wanted in Preston County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Preston County, West Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
