Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Ashland County, Wisconsin. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Full-time, day shift. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
