The role involves wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. You should have: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
