Furnace operator wanted in Nash County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Nash County, North Carolina. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
