Cnc production machinist — City of Bristol

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc production machinist in City of Bristol, England. Your main tasks: • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
