Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Hayes County, Nebraska. You will work at a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; read lift plans and method statements before starting; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 5+ years on the tools preferred.
