Stainless steel welder • Kossuth County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Kossuth County, Iowa. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
