Now hiring: we are hiring an escalator technician in Oneida County, Idaho. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Day to day you will fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; run load and overload tests with test weights; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. You should have: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Full-time with occasional weekends.
