Urgent requirement: horizontal milling machine operator (Connecticut)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day to day you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines.
