Vacancy available: tig welder (Nebraska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in McPherson County, Nebraska. You will be based on an industrial construction site. The role involves inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
