Vacancy available: we are hiring a carpenter in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage On the job you will handle: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
