Canteen cook — Ashe County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a canteen cook in Ashe County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Strong knife skills and speed on the line The role involves: • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency Part-time with flexible hours.
