Hoist operator — Hitchcock County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Hitchcock County, Nebraska. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. What we are looking for: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
