Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Columbia County, Georgia. The job is on a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Current medical and eyesight certificate • A good head for heights for tower crane work On a typical shift you will keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL).
