Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Jennings County, Indiana. You will work at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Six days a week, one day off.
