Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Borden County, Texas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer 1+ years on the tools preferred.
