Vacancy available: furnace operator (Indiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Wells County, Indiana. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
