Structural MIG welder wanted in Aleutians East Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test The role involves: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
