Stainless steel welder • Stockton-on-Tees, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Stockton-on-Tees, England. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Six days a week, one day off. We offer £1,850 per month plus benefits.
