Fettler wanted in Okmulgee County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
