Immediate opening: we are hiring a steward in City of Suffolk, Virginia. The job is in a hotel kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Load and run the commercial dishwashing machine through wash cycles • Polish glasses and cutlery and stack them ready at the pass • Sanitise crockery, glassware and cutlery to the required temperature • Sort, dry and return clean plates and bowls to the kitchen stations • Scrub out grease traps and clear blocked drains and gullies • Clean, drain and descale the dish machine at the end of each shift Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for cleanliness and kitchen hygiene standards • Basic food hygiene awareness (Level 2 certificate a plus) • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred 3+ years on the tools preferred.
