Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Biase, Cross River State. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training The role involves: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Part-time with flexible hours.
